Commission

Let’s work together - commission an original painting

I'm so glad that you're interested in learning more about the commission process. You can view my portfolio to see some of the pieces that have been commissioned over the past few years. Through the process of working with many great people, I’ve found the below questions to be the most common.

What do you need to get started?

While there’s no concrete answer for this, the most helpful resources you can provide to ensure we’re aligned on vision include:

  • An idea of colors you naturally gravitate toward, or colors you often shy away from

  • Reference to any previous paintings I’ve completed that you really love

  • A sense of where the painting will live in your home, or the home of the person you’re commissioning the painting for

  • A destination that’s sentimental or special to you – I often pull color, texture, and compositional inspiration from images of my clients’ favorite vacation spots

What sizing/prices do you offer?

I’m always happy to paint a custom sized painting to fit your space, or discuss options if you’re interested in commissioning a diptych or triptych (two or three paintings to go side-by-side). The most common sizes commissioned include the below. Prices represent unframed art. 25% is charged up front and 75% when the work is complete and ready to be shipped.

  • 18” x 24” on paper – $250

  • 24” x 24” on canvas – $525

  • 30” x 40” on canvas – $825

  • 36” x 36” on canvas – $875

  • 40” x 40” on canvas – $925

What is your turnaround time?

My current turnaround time is 6-8 weeks from the time we align on the specifics to the time the painting is ready to be shipped. Please note that this timing is subject to change based on how many commissioned pieces have been committed.

My space is made up mostly of neutral, eclectic pieces and lots of mixed textures. The canvas is just what I needed to tie everything together while still allowing each piece to shine on its own. It makes a perfectly subtle statement and brightens the whole room!
